The Amblers Club
To amble – to move at an easy pace, (the Oxford English Dictionary).
Many of our clients prefer to see Cyprus at the relaxed pace that is traditional in the countryside.
We meet our Amblers, every Wednesday and Thursday, from September to May, off the Troodos Mountains Bus, at the bus stop of their choice. We accompany them in small groups through the real Cyprus of forest and river, orchard and vineyard, stopping at villages, churches, museums, wineries, and even the famous Cyprus Donkey Sanctuary.
Within the time available we are on the move on foot, as little, or as much, as our Amblers choose. Generally we use the routes shown in our walks pages, but adapted to suit the wishes of the party. And don't forget, we always have the reassurance of a backup vehicle only a few minutes away.
Membership of the Amblers Club is free to all, and has several extra benefits. For every 3 ambles we will take you on the 4th one with no charge from us, a saving of 20 EUR per person per day. In addition we will mail photographs of your day out, to the e-mail address of your choice, free of charge.
What does this very special service cost, well certainly no more than a coach trip or hiring a car for the day!
For ambles that do not require our car transport, the cost is 10 EUR day return (for 2008) on the Mountains Bus, plus 20 EUR per person per day for our services. If the route chosen by the party requires our car transport then there is an extra charge of 10 EUR per person.
Of course, if you are new to Cyprus and to us, then you may wish to talk to us before making any moves, so why not call us in the UK or in Cyprus no sales pressure, just helpful advice.
