E4 European Trail

WALK THE E4 EUROPEAN TRAIL IN CYPRUS 1st to 8th OCTOBER 2008

Cyprus Walking Friends are offering a unique opportunity to experience the best of a new long distance trail in Cyprus. The Cyprus extension to the trans-European footpath network was opened in 2005, but to date has received only limited international interest. We believe some of the reasons are the difficulties involved in arranging transport and accommodation when walking the best parts of the route.

Our ambition is to use our local knowledge and contacts to help more people experience the wonderful scenery that can be seen on this route

The price for this unique holiday is 550 EUR per person based on 2 people sharing a twin room with en-suite facilities.

We can quote a single person supplement on request where this can be arranged with the hotel.

Some of the accommodation is in small, family-run hotels and the transport provided has limited capacity so numbers are limited to no less than 10 and no more than 16 people.

For this reason we strongly recommend that you book early.

We have set a deadline of 21st August 2008 as the date when we will confirm the number of walkers. On that date we will send an invoice for the outstanding balance to all those who have paid a deposit to reserve a place on the walk.

A small deposit of 50 EUR per person is required to reserve a place on the walk. This will be returned on 21st August 2008 in the unlikely event that there are less than 10 places reserved.

We plan to start walking on Thursday 2nd October, near Larnaca. In six days we will walk 80 to 90 miles through some of the most scenic and unspoiled parts of Cyprus. We will return to Larnaca on Tuesday afternoon 7th October, allowing an overnight stay to rest before departure.
