Ayia Mavri is a very small community, on the Kyros River with just a few summer restaurants in a deep, rocky river with a huge Plane Tree intruding into the road. The small church of Ayia Mavri, originally part of a monastery on the site, has a number of interesting paintings dating from the 16th and 17th Century, and a legend about its origins is told on the walk! We walk along the tarmac road for a few hundred yards passing a winery, and then turn right up into the large village of Kilani. Time from Pera Pedi to Kilani 1.5 hours
